There has been a massive stampede in the Kumbh Mela. After talking to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, it has been learnt that many people have lost their lives and at the same time many people are seriously injured. Due to the Maun Amashya on January 29, people had arrived in large numbers for the Kumbh bath.
Amrit Snan on the day of Mauni Amavasya is considered the most important ritual of Maha Kumbh by the Hindu community, and around 10 crore pilgrims are expected to attend it.
According to the information received from the officials at Prayagraj Kumbh Mela, it is being told that on Wednesday, 29 January, a stampede like situation suddenly occurred at Sangam, in which many people lost their lives, it cannot be told yet how many people have lost their lives at the Sangam of Kumbh,
Akanksha Rana, the Special Officer for Maha Kumbh Mela, told us in a conversation with her, “The crowd suddenly increased at Sangam due to which the barriers broke, after which some people got injured and were admitted to the hospital. We have not yet been able to find out the exact number of injured.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and asked him to inform him about the complete stampede of the fair.
After people got injured, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday appealed to the people to take a dip in the Ganga at their nearest ghats only and not to crowd too much at the Sangam banks as people may face loss of life due to overcrowding.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also held a high-level meeting with key officials at his residence and urged people not to pay heed to rumours.
